4th Line Theatre is thrilled to announce a brand new production for Christmas 2021—Christmas Comes to Mind: A Night of Story & Song by Rebecca Auerbach and Jack Nicholsen. The show will feature performances of stories and songs by the co-creators and a group of accomplished actors and musicians.

Christmas Comes to Mind: A Night of Story & Song will harken audiences back to a time when families gathered by the radio to listen to their favourite music and storytelling programs. Auerbach and Nicholsen have woven together stories of times gone by, with tales of modern Christmases. They have curated intriguing songs, some traditional Christmas ones and some which will be surprising. And they have created an intimate evening of gathering together on a cold winter night. The show muses on family, friends, and what can be a lonely time of year for many.

“We were elated when Kim asked us to put together an evening of stories and songs for a Christmas show. As we talked to people about their Christmas experiences, it didn’t take long to realize that there are as many Christmas stories, as there are gifts under the tree,” explain co-creators Auerbach and Nicholsen. “We found the process of gathering these tales to be an extraordinary reminder of how differently people experience the season. Every year, the hustle and bustle of making it happen seems to keep getting faster, longer and louder. And while navigating the food, the gatherings, the decorations, and the expectations - a perfect Christmas might not be in the cards, but a good story most likely will be.”

Production takes place at the *Millbrook Cathedral located at 40 King Street West, Millbrook, ON:

November 30-December 4 (Tuesday through Saturday) at 7 PM
December 7-11 (Tuesday through Saturday) at 7 PM

*NOTE: The play will not performed at the Winslow Farm.

COVID Protocol: This production will comply with all government COVID-19 protocols, for both audiences and theatre staff. The protocols have been developed with the input of Peterborough Public Health. All audience members will be required to provide proof of second vaccination upon arrival at the venue, and to wear a mask.

Ticket Price: $40 each, including service fees and taxes.
